RICHMOND, Va. — Riley is a bright, intelligent and inquisitive young person who is very affectionate and playful. Riley’s smile melts the heart of most people that she meets. As are most young kids Riley’s age, she is very energetic and likes to be kept occupied with games and activities. She is a loving little girl who desires to be “loved-on” and shown lots of affection.

Riley has two siblings, a brother age 16 and a sister who is 18. Both live in the same area as Riley. She has monthly face to face and telephone contact with them. She adores both her siblings and maintaining contact with them after adoption will be crucial to Riley’s stability and successful growth.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
