Highs on Friday made it into the 80s for most of the area. A cold front passed through late Friday evening, and cooler air is spilling in behind it.
High temperatures Saturday afternoon will remain in the low to mid 60s, which is about 15 to 20° cooler than Friday. Low temperatures Saturday night into Sunday morning will be quite chilly. Lows in the metro will be in the mid 40s, but many areas north and west of Richmond will be between 40° and 45°. Some sections may drop into the upper 30s.
Warmer air will return for Sunday afternoon with many areas getting into the lower 70s. The week ahead will be seasonable, but another drop in temps is expected at the end of the week.
