NASHVILLE, Tenn. — After last week’s attack at an Antioch movie theater, many have responded by thanking Metro police officers. A major billboard advertiser decided to put up their own message on 10 billboards across the city. Victoria Foster, a manager for Lamar Advertising, said it’s on prime real estate, but Metro police deserved a thank you.

“This message was important enough to us,” Foster said. “What they do for our community, it means a lot to us, so it’s worth it to us. We want to tell them thank you for their bravery and thank you for their service because they’re doing a great job.”

A Metro police spokesperson said they appreciate the company’s message.
