WARWICK, New York -- A New York community is mourning the loss of three students killed when their driver's education car collided with a truck. The students were among five people in the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu struck by a Freightliner truck. The students who were killed were passengers in the truck. The teenage driver and their 61-year-old driver's ed instructors were injured.
"There are no words that can heal or make people feel better. It's there is no understanding. Kids are not supposed to pass away," a school official said at a Wednesday vigil.
The truck hit the driver's side backdoor when the car pulled out into its path, police said.
