Try these essential oil remedies for many common ailments

From headaches, to allergies, to tick repellent, Kymberly’s new book, ‘Essential Oils for Health,’ has recipes to relieve various ailments. Headache Relief

3 drops Lavender (anti-inflammatory, analgesic, soothing, nurturing)

1 drop Peppermint (analgesic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory)

2 drops Grape Seed oil

Massage around the temples, the back of neck (base of skull), and all around hairline.

Tick Repellant

½ oz vodka (extends shelf life)

1 ½ oz distilled water

1 T vegetable glycerin (water soluble)

10 drops Eucalyptus (deters ticks/insects/parasites)

12 drops Lavender (natural repellent)

10 drops Lemon (natural replellent)

10 drops Peppermint (deters ticks/insects/parasites)

In a 2 oz (PET) spray bottle add vodka and essential oils. Shake together. Then add the vegetable glycerin and distilled water.  Shake again.  Store in refrigerator and before using, shake the bottle and spray over entire body. Re-apply every 4 hours. NOTE: If you want to make this effective against mosquitoes, add 8 drops of Citronella to the recipe.
