TROUTVILLE, Va. -- A 10-year-old Virginia boy had the birthday party of a lifetime over the weekend. Camden Eubank's parents were initially concerned that not many people would show up to the water balloon fight party in Troutville. Camden, they said, is home schooled and does not have a lot of friends. He has a speech issue known as apraxia, his father said, which made making friends difficult for him.

But, more than 300 people showed up to Camden's party after the invitation went viral after someone posted it to Reddit and Facebook.

"We're just regular old folks, you know, things like that don't happen you know, like that but it is happening," Camden's father Wayne Eubank said. "It makes any pains you've got go away, all of that it's a medicine in the sense, the feeling."

In addition to the party guests, gifts poured in from all over the world. Including a special package from Mattel.

"I called my wife and said 'I don't know what's going on exactly yet,' but I said there's 50 or 75 packages at the garage door," Wayne Eubank said.

As for the party, strangers brought thousands of water balloons and the Troutville Fire Department even joined in with a hose.

"He is happy, the happiest I've seen him in a long time, because he has people to play with," Camden's mother Traci Eubank said.

Camden gets nervous easily and his speech delay makes it hard for him to talk under pressure, his mom said. She added she could see how much he enjoyed the party by the look on his face.

"I saw this on Reddit and I just thought it would be a good time to come out and show Camden just because he does have that speech delay doesn't mean that people aren't going to like him," party goer Von Lester said.

Camden's family said they were not sure who posted it on Reddit.
