RICHMOND, Va. — The first episode of the CBS summer mystery thriller “Extant” starring Academy Award winner Halle Berry will re-air Sunday night on CBS 6 at 10 p.m.
When the show originally aired Wednesday at 10 p.m., a technical glitch left viewers in the dark about what happened during a very crucial five minutes of the first episode of season two.
Sadly, a replacement device WTVR had received after multiple lightning strikes damaged some equipment at our Broad Street facility the week before failed. That device has since been replaced. [Additionally, the entire episode can be viewed online here.]
This season on “Extant,” astronaut Molly Woods, played by Berry, discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction, and that she and mysterious stranger J.B. Richter may be the only hope for survival.
In its first season, “Extant” was the most-watched new scripted program of the summer, winning its Wednesday 10 to 11 p.m. time period.
CBS will also re-air the season premiere of “Zoo,” a new summer drama based on the #1 bestselling novel by James Patterson, at 9 p.m. Sunday.
In the series, a wave of violent animal attacks against humans begin taking place across the globe. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, a young renegade biologist is thrust into the race to unlock the pandemic’s mystery before there’s no place left for people to hide.
CBS is proud to present new original programming this summer. The shows include the popular “Big Brother” and “Under the Dome.” “Extant” also returns for its second season and “Zoo” joins the summer lineup.
“Big Brother” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m.
“Zoo” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
“Extant” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
“Under the Dome” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m.
