FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – A Fredericksburg Grand Jury indicted a woman for involuntary manslaughter in the death of her step-grandmother.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Ashby Street on April 15, 2015, for a report of an elderly female who had died inside the home. Patricia Ogle, 36, was taking care of 84-year-old Betty Catlett, at Ogle’s Fredericksburg residence.
Due to the extensive bruising injuries that were evident on Ms. Catlett’s body, Fredericksburg detectives requested that her remains be sent to the state Medical Examiner’s office for further investigation.
Ogle was subsequently arrested on April 27 on charges that included felony abuse and neglect of an incapacitated adult.
