PETERSBURG, Va. -- A black bear was spotted strolling through Petersburg Friday – and a quick-thinking woman grabbed her smartphone and started recording.
Dianna Bryant sent WTVR CBS 6 video that shows the bear scampering off outside her office on Boydton Plank Road.
“Lord Jesus,” one woman yells. “He’s down there at the fence."
"What’s that look like to you?” a man says.
“That’s a big dog,” another woman says questioning what she has just witnessed.
“No, that’s a black bear,” the man says.
The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries said black bears are common around Central Virginia this time of year.
