School board member accused of passing stopped school bus

RICHMOND, Va. -- A leader with Richmond Public Schools has been cited for passing a stopped school bus.

According to court documents, school board member Tichi Pinkney Eppes passed a school bus that had its stop arm extended.

It allegedly happened outside Maymont Elementary School, which is in the 1800 block of Amelia Street,  last Wednesday around 9 a.m.

Eppes was charged with reckless driving.
