RICHMOND: The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is hosting the inaugural Leaders Of The Hardwood Skills Academy in Richmond on Saturday, June 20th, 9am - 3:45pm at U-Turn Sports, 2013 Maywill Street, Richmond. The high school basketball camp features instruction from nationally and internationally recognized basketball coaches and former players. The camp is not all about basketball, the true intent of the programs is to teach the importance of leadership, both on and off the court.
Richmond is only one stop on summer the tour for the Leaders Of The Hardwood Basketball Skills Academy in 2015. The tour will also make stops in New York City, Atlanta and Charlotte. The program reinforces the Marine Corps’ core values of honor, courage and commitment through leadership training, and is free to any high school students that register to attend.
