RICHMOND, Va. — The USDA’s Summer Meal’s Program begins June 15. The program ensures nutritious meals are provided over the summer to low-income children when school is not in session.
The free breakfasts and lunches will be offered in Richmond to children and teens at more than 100 sites around the city.
The program is also offered to children enrolled in Henrico Schools or the county’s summer recreation programs.
The meals are available at just two sites in Chesterfield, but the USDA said more sites would be added throughout the summer.
