RICHMOND, Va. – Power has been restored on Richmond's Southside after an outage left more than 3,000 people in the dark Monday night. The outage was caused by a downed wire near the Walmart Supercenter on Sheila Lane.
The same area was affected by an outage Sunday night when issues with a transformer occurred near the same Walmart occurred.
Dominion Virginia Power reported they were rerouting power to 1,900 customers in the area at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Dominion said the outage was "complicated to fix," and it was not related to Sunday's transformer issue.
