RICHMOND, Va. — Police are working a shooting in one of Richmond’s public housing neighborhoods Monday afternoon.
A man was shot just after 1:05 p.m. in the 1800 block of Southlawn Avenue in Hillside Court, according to Richmond Police Department spokesman Gene Lepley.
“Two known parties were arguing when a third-party male approached. He was shot and received a wound that was not considered life-threatening,” Lepley said.
Officers are investigating the shooting.
Lepley said the shooting was not connected to this weekend’s deadly homicide where a 36-year-old man’s body was found morning in the grass in Hillside Court early Saturday.
