CHESTERFIELD, Va. — Police are investigating after a child care bus was involved in a traffic accident on Midlothian and Providence Road.
There were multiple children aboard the Learning Playhouse bus. Some kids are being transferred to another bus and some parents are picking up children.
A silver Toyota was leaving the Golden Corral just after 4 p.m. Monday. It was turning left onto Providence Road when it t-boned the bus, according to police on scene. The majority of damage occurred to the front of the bus, police said.
There were three people transported to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two of the children on the bus were injured, as was the driver of the Toyota.
Children whose parents could not be reached are being transported on a new bus back to the daycare. There were about eight children being transported back.
