PETERSBURG, Va. – Authorities are searching for a car, and a suspect is at large after an afternoon armed car-jacking at Virginia State University.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, Virginia State University police received a call regarding a possible armed robbery on campus. A VSU student reported to VSU Police that he had been robbed of his keys at gunpoint.
The suspect reportedly stole the victim’s car and fled the area. No injuries were reported in the incident.
VSU police, assisted by Chesterfield and Petersburg police are looking for a 1999 burgundy, Lincoln Continental with Virginia license XBR-1551. The incident is still under investigation.
