Low temperatures Sunday morning dropped down into the upper 20s and lower 30s across much of the viewing area. These temperatures were about a 30° to 40° drop from the same period Saturday morning, and the coldest temperatures in about a week. Normal low for this point of April is in the lower 40s.
Southwesterly winds will transport warmer air in for much of the week ahead, producing highs in the 70s to around 80° and lows ranging from the mid 40s to around 60°. There will be a brief cool-down on Thursday when a cold front slips south of the area. That front will lift back northward on Friday, allowing for warmer air to return to the region.
