RICHMOND, Va - Susan McCammon, Executive Director at The Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield, and 2014 Senior Idol Winner John Byrd, invite all residents 50 years and older who wish to share their special talent to sign up for the 5th Annual Senior Idol Contest. Whether you’re a musician, singer, comedian, dancer, or have another unique talent, local seniors have the chance to show off their stuff and benefit The Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield, a non-profit organization of senior adult volunteers who donate their time and expertise to assist other senior adults with transportation to medical appointments and help with minor home repairs. John brought along a couple of friends to perform a special ventriloquist act in the studio. Auditions for Senior Idol of Chesterfield, Greater Richmond, and Tri-Cities areas are Tuesday, April 14th from 3pm to 7pm at the Community Room of Lucy Corr Village, located at 6800 Lucy Corr Boulevard.
