Jen Cardinal uploaded a video Thursday of her unborn baby doing something that has captured the attention of thousands online.
At just 14 weeks along, the baby can be seen clapping during the ultrasound.
Whether it was intentional or accidental, Cardinal said in the YouTube post that she had her husband record the video while she sang “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
“We went for an ultrasound. Our baby clapped two or three times. We gasped, laughed,” she said. “Doctor said, ‘Let’s sing a song.’ He rewound and replayed it to us singing, so it looks like the baby is clapping. Great fun.”
Some commenters were questioned the video’s validity, but Cardinal explained what happened to the “The Today Show.”Cardinal said that while her doctor did manipulate the footage, the first three claps were “very real.”
“The experience is one I’ll never forget, the baby clapped three times, then the doctor rewound and scrubbed it while we sang,” Cardinal commented on Facebook. “No mystery. It was amazing.”
