RICHMOND, Va. – Nearly 2,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers were without electricity Friday morning as temperatures hovered around the 15 degree mark. According to the company’s outage page, the majority of the customers were in Richmond near Buford and Huguenot Roads and efforts were being made to restore the power by 8:00 a.m. Several hundred more customers were in Chesterfield, but there was no word on what caused the outages.
