WASHINGTON, D.C. — Every year Easter visits the south lawn of the White House, and your children have a chance to take part in all the fun on April 6 this year.
The lottery for the annual tradition has opened and will close Thursday, Feb. 26, at noon.
The White House Easter Egg Roll dates back to 1878, and children from all over the country are invited to participate. It’s now the largest event held at the White House every year, “filled with live entertainment, sports, interactive cooking demonstrations, and, of course, the traditional rolling of the Easter eggs,” according to the government’s recreation website.
The Egg Roll is for children 13 years of age and younger, and it’s free. Click hereto enter the lottery.
