RICHMOND, Va. – Thursday was what the flower industry considers to be the Black Friday of sales. Obviously the days leading up to Valentine’s Day are among the busiest of the year for local flower shops.
And that was the day that Vogue Flowers on the Boulevard in Richmond lost its telephone service (no) thanks to a service outage, the owner said.
He also said he almost had a heart attack when they realized what had happened.
“I felt like we were lost, I felt like our line of communications were down and we couldn’t get to our customers,” said co-owner Steve Popoulakos.
Luckily the provider had the lines up and running again in about 90 minutes.
