LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Some men wait a lifetime to find the perfect person to marry. A five-year-old Virginia boy did not have to wait that long. He spent a recent family trip to Walt Disney World proposing to the Disney princesses — six – in all, one fairy and a queen. When asked why he loved the Disney princesses so much, Jenny Schoberl said her five-year-old son Parker told her “Because they’re beautiful!”
Schoberl took her family to the Magic Kingdom last month to celebrate her birthday. At the park, she said, little Parker proposed to Tinker Bell on the first night.
From there, Parker mustered up the courage to pop the question to the Disney princesses and Frozen’s Queen Elsa.
“I think my personal favorite response was Elsa, just because she was genuinely surprised,” Jenny Schoberl said. “I saw her even tearing up. As we walked away she was still smiling and laughing and said to the photographer ‘that made my WHOLE day!'”
Belle said Parker was not Beastly enough for her taste.
Jasmine appreciated the offer but feared the long-term relationship would keep her bottled up.
Under the Sea, Ariel had a hard time catching her breath when Parker got down on one knee.
When Parker asked for Cinderella’s hand in marriage, she suggested a dance instead.
Snow White told Parker she was still waiting for her prince to come.
And Sleeping Beauty said she was too tired to consider Parker’s proposal.
While most of the princesses declined Parker’s proposal (citing age differences), one said ‘yes!’ Who was it? Tinker Bell.
“A few days later, he found a tiny Tinker Bell charm on the ground in Disney and is fully convinced it’s a sign they are meant to be together,” Jenny said. “He wears it around his neck on a chain every day now. It’s incredibly sweet!”
