RICHMOND, Va - Artistic Director Dr. Jan Powell and Director Jon Kretzu are excited to announce Henley Street Theatre & Richmond Shakespeare’s latest offering, ‘The Lion in Winter.’
The play, described as a darkly hilarious modern take on medieval royals, tells a story of a family scuffle over succession to England’s throne as King Henry II of England squares off against three malcontented sons and his banished queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine.
Melissa Johnston Price and David Bridgewater performed a scene from the show that opens Thursday, February 5th at 7pm and will run through February 28th at the Leslie Cheek Theater at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, located at 200 N. Boulevard. For more information visit www.henleystreettheatre.org
