Semis crash in California, liberating bees and cooking the frozen chicken

Posted

RICHMOND, Va -- Two semis on a Southern California highway crashed, causing a mess of bees and frozen chicken.

California Highway Patrol says a tractor trailer carrying frozen chicken clipped the back of a truck carrying thousands of bees while trying to pass it. The wreck freed many of the bees.

The crash also caused the truck carrying the frozen chicken to catch fire, which cooked some of the chicken.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

As for the bees -- most of them were caught, and were taken to their final destination on an almond farm.
