According to a survey by online retailer Rakuten, engaged couples spend the most on Valentine's Day gifts. They spend an average of $154.
Next on the list -- married couples. They spend an average of $136.
The couples that spend the least on Valentine's Day gifts are couples who are dating. They spend an average of $118.
The survey also found that men spend more on Valentine's Day gifts than women. Men spend an average of $104 while women spend an average of $45.
