RICHMOND, Va. -- Community policing was the topic of discussion at a voter meeting in Richmond Saturday. Officers, along with Councilwoman Ellen Robertson and others attended the forum at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins’ training facility.
They discussed building trusting relationships between police and neighbors, and decreasing the jail population with alternatives to incarceration.
In addition, the subject of restoring voting rights for some Virginians was explored.
The event was followed with a reception to honor Chief of Police Ray Tarasovic.
