RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — A supposed prank on the Franchise Tax Board in Sacramento prompted a very serious response.
According to a report from sister stationKTXL, Metro Fire sent a HazMat crew to help the California Highway Patrol and the Franchise Tax Board investigate a suspicious package that was sent in, containing an unknown brown substance.
Turns out, it was dog feces.

Metro Fire reported no injuries. It was unknown who sent the package.
About 100 mail room workers were evacuated as crews responded.
