RICHMOND, Va. — Firefighters responded to a South Richmond apartment fire along the 1560 block of Treehaven Drive on Sunday morning.
Crews encountered smoke coming from a second-floor bedroom when they arrived on scene at about 8:51 a.m.
It appeared everyone made it out of the apartment unharmed, firefighters said.
The fire was marked under control at about 10 a.m.
Investigators will work to determined what caused the fire.
The Red Cross was contacted to help one person following the fire.
