RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Firefighters made short work of a late night apartment fire.

Crews responded to the 2500 block of West Broad Street after someone reported smoke coming out of a unit at the Senior Community Center around 10:45 pm Friday night.

Firefighters reported the call as “under control” 15 minutes later.

Investigators say crews contained the smoke to one apartment, no one was hurt, no word on what ignited the flames.
