FRESNO, Calif. – A California man has been arrested after a refusing to come out of a farm tractor on New Year’s Eve.

KFSN reports deputies in Fresno were called Wednesday when the man, who was armed with a knife, locked himself inside the tractor -- and refused to come out.

The stand-off reportedly started after the suspect argued with a landlord.

Pepper spray and bean bags pellets failed to control the suspect, so deputies eventually charged the tractor and pulled the man out.

Officials said he was not seriously hurt.
