HENRICO, Va. -- Sheep on Broad Street? Not playing a joke on ewe.
Two unsupervised sheep were captured by Animal Control on New Year's Eve.
The two sheep were spotted just after 2 p.m., at the Walgreens at the intersection of Libbie and Broad Street. A crowd gathered to watch and Kerena Sanchez caught the event on video.
The sheep were cornered around the side of the building but quickly dodged Animal Control and evaded capture. They headed toward Broad Street, across from Taco Bell, where they stopped and seemed to weigh their odds of crossing the busy road.
Animal Control eventually made the capture, but it is still unknown who the sheep belong to, or how they got to the Walgreens.
The drugstore is reviewing their surveillance footage to see if they can help solve the puzzle.
