WATCH: Man fakes heart attack at Walmart, so friend can steal Barbie vacation house

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Deputies said man faked having a heart attack in a in Central Florida Walmart so that his friend could sneak out with stolen gifts.

Surveillance video captured the pair in action as they walked into the store, loaded  the cart with toys, including a Barbie Glam vacation house.

But then the two waled towards the door separately. That's when one of the men got down on the floor and started clutching his chest.

A shopper assumed he was having heart attack and searched for help.

Meantime, the other suspect walked out of the door with the loaded cart.

The two met up in the parking lot and took off but deputies were able to catch up with them.

"We have now welcomed them to the county jail for a very Merry Christmas,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Tarus Scott, 30, and Genard Dupree, 27, both of Lake Wales, were arrested on charges of grand theft.

Deputies said the men have an extensive criminal history.

In fact, one was recently released from prison after serving 10 years for armed robbery.
