CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Santa made a special delivery to the Chesterfield County Airport this weekend.

The Virginia chapter of Ninety-Nines sponsored a Christmas toy airlift on Saturday. Once the toys arrived, Fort Lee soldiers picked up the presents and took them to the Holiday Helper Association for distribution.

The toys will go to the children of enlisted personnel.

"Our soldiers make sacrifices and we want to make sure their children’s Christmas isn’t sacrificed because of their service," said Joyce Meyer of the Virginia chapter of the Ninety-Nines.

This is the eighth year the International Organization of Women Pilots has sponsored the event.

If you'd like to get involved, you can drop off donations at the Chesterfield airport and they will be picked up for families at Fort Lee.
