RICHMOND, Va. - You have probably seen ads on Black Friday deals for weeks now; Deals on anything from electronics to toys have been posted by different stores.
One man outside a Best Buy in Chesterfield Wednesday evening was already in line to purchase a 50" television. He did not want to go on camera, but said he'll be saving around $300.
But, is this weekend really the best time to get everything?
"Sometimes you get a better deal after Black Friday," said one shopper.
According to published reports, here are 11 items you might want to wait to buy:
- Winter Gear
- Designer Clothing
- High end laptops
- Gift cards
- Airline and travel packages
- Home and patio furniture
- Chocolates and flowers
- Exercise equipment
- Brand-name smart TVs
- Tools
- Latest Fire tablets
Not all things advertised as deals are really deals. A whopping 93% of stores surveyed are offering customers year-old products for the same “discount” that was offered last year, according to a recent study from NerdWallet.
According to USA Today the best deals are appliances, gaming bundles and television deals. Their deal expertpredicts that Cyber Monday will be bigger than Black Friday this year.
"They seem to have the best discount on Black Friday for the TVs," said one shopper.
