RICHMOND, Va. -- A teenage driver and a Richmond school bus driver were injured in a morning school bus accident.
"A collision occurred between a school bus and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Magnolia and Rady Streets." Richmond Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh wrote in an email. "The passenger vehicle rear-ended the school bus, which was stopped to make a left turn."
Police charged the 17-year-old female driver of the passenger vehicle with reckless driving.
"There were three students on the bus. Two were taken on to school while the third complained of pain and was checked out at the scene," Waugh said. "Both the bus driver and the 17-year-old female driver were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
The accident happened at about 8 a.m.
