CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- It's a kind of pain that Catherine Uwasomba can't even begin to describe.
"I hurt, I cry, I've been weeping," Uwasomba said.
The mother said her daughter, 28-year-old Ogechi Sarah Uwasomba, has been missing since May 30.
"It's like I'm being tortured," she said.
Catherine said she saw her daughter the afternoon of May 30. She said her other daughter saw Ogechi get into a dark-colored car outside of their Chesterfield County home.
"She came into the kitchen to get a banana, that's when I saw her last," Uwasomba said.
As the months have passed, family and friends said they have not given up hope. A prayer vigil was held Saturday night to raise awareness for Ogechi's disappearance .
"I really appreciate all the support," said Uwasomba.
Sharon Marion was one of many who came to support the family. She had not met Catherine until Saturday night.
Marion said she wanted to be there for the family because her son went missing six years ago out of Dinwiddie.
His body was found two years later and she learned he had died in an ATV accident.
"I know what shes going through, I know exactly what she's going through," said Marion.
Catherine has asked anyone with information to call police. The family has also offered a $3,000 reward for information.
Chesterfield Police did not say if there were currently any suspects in the disappearance calling it an ongoing investigation.
