CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with robbery after he threatened a Chesterfield cab driver with a knife and robbed the driver of cash, police said. The teenager robbed the driver at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, near the intersection of Rollingway Road and Rollingway Court, police said.

The neighborhood where the crime occurred is located near Qualla and Courthouse Roads.

Police used both tracking dogs and an airplane to locate and eventually arrest the teenager later Tuesday morning.

“The suspect was from the area where the robbery took place; he was apprehended nearby,” a Chesterfield Police spokeswoman said. “The teen called the cab from another location and took the cab to the location of the robbery.”

The driver and teen suspect did get into a “struggle,” police said. No one was injured during the robbery.
