CAMP VERDE, Arizona — A bride and groom were left bleeding and bruised after a painful wedding reception entrance.
Chad Kannard picked up his bride, Julia, to make a grand entrance into their Oct. 11 wedding reception. What the entrance lacked in grandeur — it more than made up for in memorability. During his run into the party, Kannard fell. Both he and Julie hit the ground — hard.
“He was like ‘Are you okay?’ and I was like ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’ I had a cut on my forearm and he was like, ‘You’re bleeding’ and I was like ‘I am?'”Magdaleno told ABCNews.com. “Both his arms went under me so really he took most of the impact. It looks like in the video he body slammed me but really, I really felt, like, nothing. I was kind of sore the next day but, I mean, when you fall onto the cement, of course you’re going to be sore.”
The couple said they’ll get over their initial fall as husband and wife.
“Who else can really top that kind of wedding entrance?” Magdaleno said. “It’s something me and my friends and family will never ever forget.”
