RICHMOND, Va - Nancy Foy, Head of School, and Beth Petzer, Language Fundamentals Instructor, both from The New Community School visited the studio to talk about Dyslexia Awareness Month and a simulation event to help parents and professionals better understand the condition. The simulation is a hands-on, multi-sensory experience designed to help people understand what it is like to live with language learning deficits such as dyslexia. The event for parents is October 15th from 6pm to 8pm and the event for professionals is October 16th from 6pm to 8pm, both at The New Community School located at 4211 Hermitage Road.
