New Community School hosts Dyslexia awareness event

RICHMOND, Va - Nancy Foy, Head of School, and Beth Petzer, Language Fundamentals Instructor, both from The New Community School visited the studio to talk about Dyslexia Awareness Month and a simulation event to help parents and professionals better understand the condition. The simulation is a hands-on, multi-sensory experience designed to help people understand what it is like to live with language learning deficits such as dyslexia. The event for parents is October 15^th from 6pm to 8pm and the event for professionals is October 16^th from 6pm to 8pm, both at The New Community School located at 4211 Hermitage Road.
