RICHMOND, Va - Whitney Traynham, Campaign Manager for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s ‘Light the Night’ event, and Rob Vallejo of PricewaterhouseCoopers and ‘Light the night’ Corporate Walk Chair, invite you to join in the Virginia Chapter’s largest fundraising event of the year. Light the Night is a community walk in which each participant is given a lantern to walk with to literally light up the night. Lanterns are coordinated symbolically based on the walker’s journey, red for supporters, white for survivors, and gold in memory of a loved one lost. The mission is to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for blood cancer and to support patients and their families. The event is October 18th at Virginia Historical Society, located at 428 North Boulevard. Registration opens at 5pm with the walk beginning at 7pm.
