RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond Police are investigating after more than 20 tires were slashed in the city over the weekend. The tire slashing happened sometime between 1 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Saturday along the 1200 - 1500 block of Wallace Street, police said.
"I was a little frustrated," slashing victim Joey Donatelli said.
One neighbor said he heard something early Saturday morning,
"I heard someone running through the yard, but that's not uncommon so I really didn't think something of it," Robert Braxton said.
Jonathan Minor, a supervisor at Pop's Pick and Pay said it's not a simple task to slash tires. He said it can also be painful if the tire has too much air pressure in it.
"It could explode on you or blow you away from it," said Minor.
Police said they do not have any suspects at this time. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
