RICHMOND, Va. -- It could be a busy Labor Day weekend on the highways.
Mid Atlantic AAA said nearly one million Virginians are expected to travel for the holiday, that's the highest number since the recession hit in 2008.
The good news for those who plan to drive to their holiday destination is that AAA said gas prices haven't been this low in four years, since 2010.
The average price of gas per gallon in Richmond is $3.11, about 30 cents cheaper than the national average.
