CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — People who live along a busy Chesterfield road, a two-lane stretch of Lucks Lane near Route 288 and the Powhite Parkway, have learned new details about a plan to make the highway four lanes with a median.
An informational meeting was held Wednesday night at Evergreen Elementary School.
Some people who live in that area say widening the road could reduce backups on the way to and from work.
However, others worry the county will take away some of their property for the project.
