HOUSTON — The family of a Labrador retriever wanted to provide as many joyful last moments with Dukey before having to put down the cancer-stricken dog.

Robyn Arouty documented the farewell with photos that included a hamburger party, tearful goodbyes and a trip to the park in a blog post that was recaptured on Buzzfeed.Arouty wrote on Facebook that her site was experiencing technical difficulties.

A photo of when Dukey fell asleep is added, and the photos include captions written in the dog’s voice.  A family friend took the photos and the blog post was titled “I died today.”

Dukey was adopted three years ago by the family and was captured in a video.
