LONDON – British actor and comedian Rik Mayall, who appeared in the TV series Blackadder, died Monday at age 56, his agent said.
The agent, Kate Benson, said she did not know the cause.
Mayall stared in the television series The Young Ones from 1982-1984.
He also played the title role in the 1991 feature film Drop Dead Fred.
