WINSTON-SALEM, NC.- Family members and friends are gathering to celebrate the life and memory of Poet Maya Angelou
A private memorial service is planned for her Saturday morning at Wake Forest University’s Wait Chapel.
Maya Angelou died at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Wednesday, said her literary agent, Helen Brann. Angelou had been “frail” and suffering from heart problems, the agent said.
