RICHMOND, Va. - The high pressure that was centered over us this weekend into Monday is sliding a little farther southeast of us, allowing for a warmer and humid west-southwest breeze into Virginia.
This morning will be mostly clear and mild, but this afternoon will be hot and humid. Highs should reach the lower 80s in the western third of the state, with the rest of us in the mid to upper 80s.
A surface trough of low pressure will swing over us this afternoon from northwest to southeast, sparking some scattered storms.
