RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR): A signature event of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society "Man and Woman of the Year Campaign" culminates Friday, May 9 after ten weeks of fundraising. This year's Gala happens at the Commonwealth Club starting at 6:30pm. Candidates are judged solely on a philanthropic basis, their success to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Virginia Chapter.
The public is invited to join the celebration of all candidates where there will be a reception, cocktails, music provided by the Rhondels, a silent auction and the announcement of the Man & Woman of the year.
