RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – #Sprinter. It’s a new season, if you haven’t heard. Spring that feels like Winter. Still acts like Winter. This morning was a #Sprinter morning in central Virginia.
Preliminary low temperatures were near-record-cold levels for many of you. At Richmond International Airport, this was a record-tying cold low for March 27.
We had the ideal combination of dry air, calm winds, clear skies, and a cold air-mass in place to produce this plunge in the temperatures.
Winds are already shifting from the south today, though, which will lead to a Spring warm-up the next few days.
As we see it now, there are no signs of another strong #Sprinter cold blast through the next couple of weeks.
Stay with CBS 6, we’ll keep you ahead of the storm.
